The easy way to get up and running with Fujitsu ScanSnap scanners

As the world’s #1 scanner brand, it’s no surprise to us here at Alloys that our Fujitsu scanners are flying out of our warehouses. The primary software that comes straight out of the box with Fujitsu, is ScanSnap Manager: an incredibly powerful and versatile software that turns your scanner into one of your most valuable workplace assets.

To get the most out of your Fujitsu scanner, you need to set up and customise a number of the ScanSnap features which, to the uninitiated, ie, most of us(!), means we have to set aside the time to read through the many hundreds of pages of official documentation. Whilst the official manuals and guides are comprehensive and contain everything you can think of to maximise your Fujitsu investment, it has to be said that all we really want is to have someone else have done this already and tell us what to do in a non-techy speak way.

That’s why we were over the moon when we came across Mr Brooks Duncan, a man who by his own admission has a last name for a first name and a first name for a last name! More importantly, Brooks is the kind of scanner wizard we’d all like to know. He set up DocumentSnap in 2008 when he was going through the process of going paperless and struggled to find one place that had all the information he wanted. So he decided to create it himself. Now he’s letting us share it with you. Thank you Brooks. And, you’re welcome, Fujitsu friends.

Fill out your details and we’ll email you a copy of the Unofficial ScanSnap Setup Guide for Windows or for Mac.

What's included in the guide?

• What software is included, what does it do, and how the heck do you use it?

• What are ScanSnap Profiles and how can they rock your world?

• How do you scan receipts and export them to financial software?

• Is there a way you can prepare your documents before scanning that will save you time and headaches?

• How to do you scan directly to the cloud without a computer?

• How do you scan wirelessly to a computer or mobile device?

• How do you handle business cards and export them to your contacts?

• Making PDFs searchable sounds great, but it slows things down. Is there a way to make it faster?
