Expand Your Creative Vision with the C1 Series
As a co-creative technology partner collaborating with the world’s top experiential design firms, Panasonic Connect understands the need for visual products that enhance the quality of immersive experiences while streamlining workflow and resource management. Answering this demand, we developed the C1 Series lenses for our PT-REQ15 Series, PT-REZ15 Series, and future 1-Chip DLP™ projectors. Explore the potential of these advanced projectors with unmatched lens performance and versatility.
Bring Out the Best in Your Visuals
Panasonic’s UED Glass Delivers Flawless Image Quality
Panasonic’s C1 Series utilizes precision-ground Ultra Extra-low Dispersion (UED) glass lens elements1 to minimize light scattering, a common cause of flare and color blur. The lenses produce sharp, uniform visuals with realistic contrast and color performance.
Dramatically Improved Native Contrast Performance
Precision UED glass lens elements1 improve native contrast performance by as much as 16%2 over equivalent lenses in the DLE Series. Combined with the projector’s evolved Dynamic Contrast technology, this enhancement ensures that high-quality content is faithfully reproduced, drawing guests deeper into your experience.
Proprietary AR Coating for Exceptional Uniformity
Reflections from the lens surface and internal reflections can cause color irregularities and ghosting on the screen, degrading color uniformity. The C1 Series employs a proprietary Anti-Reflection (AR) coating to prevent diffuse light reflection, depositing a thin film on the lens surface to reduce color irregularities and ghosting. The coating is particularly important for maintaining color uniformity with ultra-short-throw lenses: the ET-C1U100 leverages Panasonic’s accumulated expertise in AR coating development, contributing to outstanding color uniformity.
Aspherical Lenses: Superior Imaging, Compact Design
The ET-C1U100, ET-C1U2001, ET-C1W300, ET-C1W400, and ET-C1W500 feature aspherical glass lens elements. Aspherical glass achieves the same effect as multiple lens elements, enabling high magnification power and reducing size and weight, particularly for larger lenses like the ET-C1U100. Aspherical lens manufacturing demands extreme precision and expertise. Panasonic answers with accumulated know-how, producing the ET-C1U100’s large-diameter elements at a state-of-the-art facility in Yamagata, Japan, to ensure spectacular visuals in an easy-to-handle form factor.
1 ET-C1U200 is a fixed-focus lens and does not support zoom.
Enhanced Workflow Efficiency
Outstanding Flexibility with a Wider Shift Range
Enjoy an expanded range of powered lens shift adjustments via remote control and adapt projections to diverse production spaces. For example, the ET-C1U100 Ultra-Short-Throw Zoom Lens boasts a significantly wider shift than the ET-DLE020 with a ±50% vertical and ±23% horizontal adjustment range. You can easily adjust the image position to suit your spatial design when the projector isn’t ideally situated in tight spaces.
Powered Peripheral Focus: A First for Panasonic 1-Chip DLP™ Lenses
The C1 Series introduces powered peripheral focus1, a first for Panasonic’s 1-Chip DLP™ projection lenses. Maintaining edge-to-edge focus is vital for immersive entertainment where large images are viewed at close range. Users can now adjust zoom2, center focus, peripheral focus1, and lens shift via remote control or Smart Projector Control app3, eliminating the need for physical access to the projector in hard-to-reach locations. This streamlines operations and gives you the power to achieve professional results efficiently.
Wider Zoom Ratios Streamline Your Inventory
Zoom lenses in the C1 Series feature wider zoom ratios than DLE Series lenses, enabling rental and staging companies to maintain smaller inventories while meeting diverse project requirements. This wider coverage reduces overheads and streamlines operations, making the C1 Series a more efficient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly solution for rental businesses.
Larger Screens, Fewer Projectors, Smaller Footprint
Unlock larger screen sizes up to 1000 inches and use fewer projectors to cover the display area while reducing costs, installation complexity, and environmental impact. For example, a 1000-inch diagonal screen that previously required two projectors can now be covered by a single projector fitted with an appropriate C1 Series lens, contributing to enhanced sustainability through decreased resource consumption and carbon footprint.
Consistently Stable Image Quality
Robust Lens Mounter Improves Stability
Projectors compatible with the C1 Series feature a revised lens mounter structure that strengthens vibration resistance, reducing the need for periodic focus adjustments. The labor-saving design also simplifies the installation of ultra-short-throw zoom lenses. Previously, an optional bracket was necessary for this lens type, which restricted the shifting range. The updated structure, complete with a hex-head screw kit, allows for bracket-free installation of the ET-C1U100, saving time and resources.
Rugged Design Maintains Stable Image Quality
The C1 Series employs glass lens elements for durability in rental situations or for touring productions where lenses are frequently handled. Stable imaging is ensured by selecting heat-resistant materials less prone to aberrations resulting from temperature fluctuations. Proprietary simulation models temperature rises in the lens due to light exposure, allowing the best selection of materials to resist focus drift and reduce maintenance.
Projector Compatibility Information
The C1 Series is compatible with the PT-REQ15 Series (PT-REQ15, PT-REQ12, PT-REQ10, and PT-REQ80) and PT-REZ15 Series (PT-REZ15,
PT-REZ12, PT-REZ10, and PT-REZ80) projectors. Compatibility with future projectors is anticipated.
